The Volunteer Committee

  • Neil Johnson

    CHAIR

I am a Canadian who has dedicated 25 years to bringing Canadian ideas to the UK, living in London for 10 years.

In 2019, when I realized the Terry Fox Run was no longer in London, restarting the London Run seemed like a perfect fit. Now, we get to expand the Terry Fox Run all across the UK.

Terry Fox shows us what is possible when you never, ever give up on a dream, and it’s important his legacy continues in the UK. Cancer fundraising in his name is a big part of his legacy.

  • Robert Wattie

    RUN DAY COORDINATOR

Having been born and raised in the Vancouver area, Terry was an icon and inspiration to me as I grew up.

My career has included working for the Four Seasons Group. Part of your job at The Four Seasons was ensuring The Terry Fox Run took place every year. Returning to England, I realized it was a perfect opportunity to be involved again in the Terry Fox Run.

Sadly, few of us will not be impacted in some way by cancer. If we take our inspiration from Terry, we can make his dream of beating cancer a reality.

  • Rohit Sharma

    HEAD OF PROMOTIONS

Originally from Edmonton, Terry Fox has always been a source of Canadian pride and inspiration to me.

As a longtime resident of the UK, my passion for philanthropy was ignited when the Terry Fox Run was re-starting in the UK in 2020. The chance to ensure Terry Fox’s legacy of determination and courage, as well as finding a cure for all cancers, while supporting the UK’s Institute of Cancer Research, was a perfect fit for me.

  • Victoria Jones

    MERCHANDISE DIRECTOR

As a British Columbian living in London, it’s an honour to be able to share Terry’s inspiring story with a new international community. In my mind he is not just a Canadian hero- he is a hero!

Contributing my time towards raising money for cancer research in Terry’s name is nothing short of a privilege.

  • Rob Brant

    SECRETARY AND CORPORATE FUNDRAISER

I was just a few years younger than Terry Fox and living in Ottawa when his Marathon of Hope began – long before ‘extreme’ anything was a thing.

I remember the excitement that was created in the country at the time and know first-hand of the legacy he left behind. A true Canadian hero and a cause that touches everyone in some way. I want to celebrate Terry’s life by continuing his legacy in the UK!

  • Noah Wise

    COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

Growing up in Toronto, Terry was an inspiration to me, as he is to all Canadians. After a decade in Asia, I have now made the UK my home and aim to now inspire this corner of the world by sharing Terry’s story whilst also helping bring an end to cancer.
